Ok great, I dont think I should write one then. I guess I was viewing it too much as an "explanation" as opposed to "a reason."voice of reason wrote:Useless.
The only GPA addendum worth writing is one that makes you look good by making your GPA look impressive under the circumstances. For instance, if you were a single parent working full time and you got hit by a car before finals but pulled a 3.3 anyway, write an addendum. Otherwise you're wasting your time.
I don't think that's necessarily a negative addendum. Working over 40 hours and going to school is pretty solid - the information might be in your application, but it will fill in the story for the admissions committee. Anything that rounds out the story for them without sounding whiny or bitchy is good.DieAntwoord wrote:My priority was work. And when in community college (which really brings my gpa down) I worked well over 40 hours. I guess it was ingrained in me when I was young that school is not that important and too expensive. My parents just wanted me to join the military and not persue college. I guess this affected how I viewed the situation. Do you think this needs to be mentioned in an addendum?
