Extending your deferral

Post by sdavid » Mon Nov 08, 2010 4:39 pm

Currently in the midst of some exciting new discoveries and accomplishments in my field, I've been seriously considering extending my current deferral which expires this Fall.

Does anyone have any experience with requesting an extension on your deferral once it's already been granted? I understand this is a case to case basis depending on the school/student- just wondering if anyone can share a similar experience.

I know a couple people who deferred for TFA and extended their deferral to teach for one more year (one was T-14 and one was T-20). One of those people asked for a two-year extension and they said no to two years but granted him one.
