Congrats! Welcome to the club.

I assume most people applying to Suffolk are in the Boston area, but if anyone has any questions about the area or school, let me know!

How are your classmates? Competitive, easy-going? I know it varies by individual, but what's your overall impression?

Overall, pretty easy going. There are few annoying gunners but overall it's fine.

Anyone know how lenient Suffolk is with their deferment policy? I have a pretty good job lined up in Chicago and would love to save some money before I head east.

It doesn't look like they've passed out that much yet according to LSN. With your numbers, you should be in with money at some schools ranked 20-30, like BC. Suffolk may assume that some students apply with no intention of actually attending because their numbers are so high.

Did the self-tour of the school the other day. It's really nice and the building seems brand new. Not sure if I'm going though, cause I'm waiting on a bunch of schools, and I also got over 50% scholarship from NESL. Does anyone have thoughts on how they compare? I live in Boston and know that Suffolk generally has the better rep, but if anyone has personal experience with either of the two schools, I'd appreciate it.

I just got an email from the Dean with a 35k per year scholarship yayy! If you guys want a scholarship and compare your numbers on LSN to others and think your numbers are good enough you have to contact admissions and financial aid. I probably sent like 20 emails back and forth with them before getting the scholarship. They definitely want you to work for it to make sure you actually want to go there, but it's all worth it in the end!

Haven't heard squat. I emailed them last week and asked politely if I would be considered for merit scholarship as Suffolk is high on my list...no reply

who'd you email dean or financial aid? email again whichever one you didn't email, then wait another week and email the dean again, be pushy eventually they'll respond and give you money! trust me it works.

I've visited, and the facility is beautiful. Plus, you can't beat the location.

That said, I've withdrawn- Suffolk's not the best fit for me at this point. Good luck everyone!

birD is correct--after some persistence I've been offered a substantial scholarship package.

I got a response finally saying my request went to the dean of admissions. I am at 154 and 3.93 (top 3% graduate and #1 in my school discipline). My LSAT is killing me everywhere money wise, but surprisingly I have been getting some good acceptances. Maybe Suffolk will surprise me.

Been hearing some great things about the school and its location. Received an email saying that I went complete on 1/13. I am assuming there is no status checker for Suffolk. Can anyone share some insight as to how long the turn around time has been?
