Hey,

I was just wondering if choosing ED means that you receive no money? Since you are required to go, they don't have to give you anything... are some ED schools nicer about money? Or are they all the same: choose ED and pay full (or almost full) price?

Yea, usually means no money. I've heard that Michigan still gives money, but they seem to be an exception.

If you're considering ED, you're most likely a borderline applicant or splitter, so you should plan on paying full sticker, even if that school might give money to EDers (which many don't).

But ED doesn't effect use of federal financial aid for payment of tuition, correct? (I don't see how it possibly could)

ED affects merit money. You'll still get financial aid.

TITCR

Some school specifically say that they consider ED applicants for scholarships; however, we have no idea if this is true, because most applicants that apply ED do not have numbers that would get them a scholarship in the first place.
