Would applying in late December after score release hurt my chances so bad that it would not even be worth applying this year?

They will hurt your chances and hurt your chances for money. Also, you should take more time to study. Why not take the lsat in feb or june.

1 month will probably not be enough to ensure you get a 163~164, especially since you scored nearly right at your PT average. If you're serious about not regretting anything I think you should retake in February or June and apply next year.
I don't really know much about the schools you're talking about so I'm leaving that for someone else.

None of the schools you mentioned are worth going to. What is your gpa? This time dont study "off and on."
