Applying to different schools with different LSATs

Just got my scores back, 173 which is good but def out of the running for HYS. I was wondering if it's possible to apply with my 173 and 3.76 from Duke to all schools accept HYS, retaking in Dec and using the Dec score for HYS. Will LSAC tell schools I'm taking the LSAT again. Can I call LSAC or the schools expect HYS to use my current LSAT and not the Dec one? Also with a 3.76/173 should I put other schools in the HYS category of applying with my Dec scores?

I'm not sure why you think you're definitely out of the running for H and S. Sure, your chances aren't spectacular, but LSP puts you at a Consider for both.

As to your question, you can tell schools you want them to consider you with your old score and without waiting for the December score. Duke honored that for me for the October LSAT.

Oh that's great. So I should tell the school? Do I also need to tell LSAC so that they don't update schools and confuse them? That's great about Duke. I went there for Undergrad and would love to go back. Thanks for the help

Tell the school you want them not to wait for new scores to evaluate your file. They won't get confused. It wouldn't matter if you did tell LSAC not to send something- it wouldn't listen.
