I got an email from Georgetown, but no fee waiver? :(

Did yours mention a fee waiver?

Lst sentence of first graph reads: Due to our belief in your potential, your application fee has been waived as well.

Might be waves. Don't know for sure. Sometimes it takes a while for everyone to get the waiver.

Thread Update:
Most of the schools seem to be following the prediction pretty well. And quite a few have given waivers earlier this year (perhaps because of the late date of the LSAT). There are also several schools sending out waivers today that didn't during the week last year.

Congrats on the waiver. Guess my numbers weren't good enough. Oh well.... No love from UVA today either :|

UVA and Minnesota and I'm a junior. Weird. Minnesota's apparently expires, but I'm not applying anyways, so I don't care. UVA didn't add an expiration date, but does anyone know if they do expire? I'm assuming so, even if they don't mention it explicitly.

If you are waiting a year to apply, does your waiver transfer over?

Same. Nothing hidden.

If they seriously sent me an invitation to apply without including a fee waiver in the next few days, I won't even bother with them. What arrogance.

Thank you so much G town for providing me the opportunity to apply and pay $85 to your institution- Oh wait a minute....I already had that opportunity without your fucking email!

But thanks any way!

Nope, sorry. You'll have to wait and see if you get them again.

I got one a while ago. Still haven't gotten Penn, BU and GW.

Edit meant GW

But did you get it before or after the October LSAT? This thread is for the new wave of waivers after the LSAT that started today.

I haven't heard of Columbia sending them out yet. Nor Penn. And GW doesn't really do fee waivers from what I've heard.

Good point. Sorry to tc. Will clear my original post to try to stop any confusion. Thanks for the info.

I would like to add, however, that I am watching this post carefully. While I took my LSAT in June, I did not get my LSAC account up and running with my transcripts until mid September (for various reasons, mostly stupid). So I missed out on the first round of the following, at the least:

NYU
Penn
BU

To add to what is already posted here, I received NYU as a hidden waiver today.

Can someone confirm that the below schools DO NOT traditionally give merit-based fee waivers?

Yale
Harvard
Stanford
Berkeley
Emory
George Washington

Perhaps a way to reward the sleuths among us? I guess they're trying to sharpen our Jessica Fletcher skillz.

I recently read in a post around here (might be this thread, might be the large 85-page thread) that Berkeley gives need-based fee waivers if requested. Apparently the main qualification is if you are no longer supported by your parents. But ymmv. I didn't ask for it, because Berkeley is one of my top choices, I figured it was a fool's errand anyway, and didn't want waiting for a waiver to get in my way of getting the app in.
