Do I need an Addendum?

Hi,

I got a 161 on the June Lsat. I retook in Oct and my score fell to 158. This was my third time taking, since I cancelled the very first time I took it.

Do I need to write an addendum explaining why?

Will this hurt my chances?

Give me some info I need to know.

Thanks

Probably too close to make a difference. I wouldn't write an addendum. I doubt it'll seriously hurt your chances. I don't know the exact numbers, but 3 points is less of a difference around 160 than it is around 170.

I wouldn't write an addendum. There is absolutely no excuse on Earth that would make them look past the 158. After all, if you were really sick on test day or someone in your family just died, why wouldn't you have cancelled?

You just have to own your scores. Make the rest of your app stand out and hope for the best.
