That "resumes sometimes lack detail--about extracurricular activites... We always like to know more more MORE. So if there's a format other than a resume that allows more elbow room, feel free to submit it. We prefer content over style."

I probably could include more detail if I submitted another format besides resume, but what does this mean? They don't want you writing essays about things on your resume.

I'm interested in an answer here as well. Given my wide professional experiences before, during and after college, and the unique wants/needs of a law school, I kind of want to break from the mold on my resume a bit. I was considering breaking it up into life stages. Pre College, College, Post-College. And in my resume covering when I got married, when my children were born, etc.

I feel like that tells a more useful tale of who I am then a traditional "go get a job" resume.

Then again, I don't want to get ignored for appearing to not know how to do a resume in the first place. And i need to stop trying to get "cute". I've had ideas this week that have been shot down because they've been done before, including in a movie I've never heard of.
