I read some messages on this board from people who claim to have received unrequested fee waivers over the past week (since taking the 10/9 lsat) and were wondering if the schools have already received the scores. Schools could not have received the scores yet, right?
I would think they get them when we do.
Any concrete thoughts?

Schools have not received the scores yet. They will not receive the scores until you do.

Note which schools they're coming from.

Yes. I keep getting borderline stalking emails from schools I have almost zero interest in applying to (Phoenix? Tulsa? WTF?) and I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with my credentials.

Tulsa is the stalker hanging from a tree at 2am, watching you sleep.
To answer your question: from my experience schools that give pre-LSAT fee waivers are the ones who are, well, desperate.
Schools haven't seen scores yet.

Thank God for e-mail. Otherwise, Tulsa would have decimated all the rainforests on the planet by now.

I love how Phoenix puts on their e-mails: "We are not associated with the Online college". Im sure Phoenix Online puts on their emails, "We are not associated with Phoenix Law"

I don't get it... why would you register for the Candidate Referral Service on LSAC? I don't need Cooley and Tulsa filling my inbox with email I won't read anyway...

Because all of the t14 schools use CRS almost exclusively to give fee waivers. I'm pretty sure the spam from Cooley is worth the $500+ you could save by registering and getting sought after waivers.

Did not know that... I have the LSAC fee waiver so the schools I'm applying to automatically waive my fee.

You are probably good to not register with CRS then

Or you could make an email account and use it just for CRS stuff if you want to see if any schools that don't respect LSAC's waiver give you one.
