Tips for Law School Forum this weekend in Boston

Postby musicalmissionary » Tue Oct 12, 2010 8:53 pm

I happen to live a few blocks from where the Boston LSAC Forum is taking place this weekend so I figured "why not?"...

Is there a thread around with tips on dress code, good questions, hints on coaxing some fee waivers out of law school reps, etc...

You don't need to wear a suit or anything, just look presentable. No one who you talk to will remember you, so don't plan on swaying any adcomms. Honestly the best questions to ask are the ones that you legitimately want to hear an answer to. If you go in there planning on impressing them or treating it like a career fair, you will probably consider it a waste of time. If you think of it like a chance to get information, there will be plenty of opportunity to learn :P

Oh and for fee waivers, just ask after you have talked to them for a bit. I wouldn't make it the first question you ask, but if they have them to give out, I'm sure they won't mind someone asking.
