With that 170 you could probably recieve an acceptance from UVA in the next 15 days, something to think about

With ED, you're a lock at UVA and, with work experience, a lock at Northwestern. Everything else is a little iffy.

It is easier for splitters and the 15 day turn around allows you to double-dip your ED's. If you'd rather do UPenn then it's tougher, but I would definitely take UVA over GULC every day of the week.

I didn't know about their splitter-friendliness and UVa > Georgetown does seem to be the general consensus. I know I'd have my work cut out for me at uPenn. It sounds like a good way to go might be to try UVa and then if that doesn't work out hail mary to uPenn.

correct me here if I am wrong, but OP numbers are below both UVA medians, so his splitter status may not help. Although, like bk 187 said, the 15 day turn around is awesome.

Given your preferences, you should first apply to Georgetown ED, which guarantees a reply within 3 weeks. They're open to taking low-GPA splitters with a 170 LSAT. If that doesn't work, then apply to Penn ED - they took 3.37/170, 3.21/171, 3.45/171, and 3.46/171 applicants last year, so you also have a reasonable shot there. You should get a reply by about December 9-10 based on last year's decision dates, so if that still doesn't pan out, then ED to UVA and get a reply within 15 days. This strategy ensures that you'll always be EDing at your top choice school.

Ha! I'm glad someone went there. I saw everyone giving legit answers so I thought I'd keep it classy... but c'mon. ED help? Talk to your doctor about Cialis. Because you never know when the moment might hit.

...To OP: This is really a personal decision. If Penn is your top choice, go with Penn. I wanna say UVA took some late EDs last cycle, so my gut feeling is that they'll still take you in December if Penn turns you down.
