Northeastern personal statement

So I thought I was clever by writing a personal statement before I clicked on "apply" on the LSAC site. Then I see this:
"All candidates must provide a personal statement, written in their own words. The personal statement should be two pages, double-spaced in 12-point font. The Admissions Committee thoroughly reviews each personal statement and wants to learn more about your path to law school. In writing your personal statement, take the time to assess factors such as why you are interested in Northeastern, what inspires your pursuit of law, what you will add to the law school community, and what adversity you have overcome to get to where you are today. This is a chance to help us get to know you in a more personal way, and the Committee takes these essays seriously."
My prewritten statement is about who I am now. The major adversity in my life ended when I was a child (domestic abuse), and I'm not sure the other forms of adversity I've gone through really matter for this essay. How deeply do I need to address this question?
