Visited UVA last week.I am Completely in love with the school!

I applied on Sept 1st with a fee waiver. However, I really want to ED now.

Does anyone know what the ED deadline is at UVA?
Also can I still ED despite the fact I applied over two weeks ago? Will it look strange that UVA will only receive my ED contract next week?

Do you have numbers to get in RD? Are you willing to forgo any potential $$ if you are?
I'm not sure about the ED situation, but I imagine you can call them and change it to an ED. I think I've read on this site a lot of people doing this last year (for their second wave of ED in Dec).

I have competitive numbers but at 3.92/169 I’m not an auto-admit. Also, I am not a VA resident.

Money is not an issue, and I really love the school!

On their application, strangely, it does not ask whether you want to apply ED or not. They simply require you to send in an ED contract. However, I haven’t been able to find a deadline anywhere.

People send in the ED contract after their application on a regular basis.
They accept ED until something like February and many people will get declined from a higher ranked school that they EDed to and go to UVA and convert their app to ED even after December.

I don't think you have to ED, at least not yet unless you are a very risk averse person. I actually know people with those numbers that are on scholarship (think 1/4 to 1/2) at UVA. Before you ED, I would make it apparent you want to attend by sending in a sincere Why UVA statement if you didn't already. Registering when you visit there or getting a tour from one of the admissions people could also help.

Look into the deadlines though for ED and weigh the risks of not doing it. It is practically a guarantee if you ED early on with those numbers. If you 100 percent sure you want to go and don't mind forgoing any potential cash (although this is probably unlikely) as well as the potential of not getting the opportunity to go to other schools then go ahead and ED. The ED deadline is March 1, same as the regular application deadline. You simply have to send in the signed ED contract, any time after submitting your application.
