Breaking: Ave Maria to Comply With Law School Transparency

Postby jenesaislaw » Thu Sep 16, 2010 4:23 pm

This is great news for those of you interested in the data Law School Transparency has requested from law schools.

Maybe it's similar to Domino's "we admit we made crappy pizza but we're going to try to make it better, nvm it still tastes like cardboard" campaign.

In all seriousness, I am pretty surprised by this.

What does a 4th tier school have to lose?

A better question is what do they have to gain?

Ave Maria claims 100% placement now:

By accurately reporting they can only make themselves look worse....if that is possible.

I don't read that as implying 100% employment at all.

I'm with the above poster. Those are the figures they reported to the ABA for graduates known to be employed.

Also, LST strongly disagrees that "they can only make themselves look worse." We are in the middle of writing about how a regional school might benefit. It isn't biglaw or bust for every law school attendee.

Whoa whoa whoa, I love the new Dominos. The old stuff turned into shoe leather within 15 minutes of delivery, but the new stuff totally holds its own (although this can vary from shop to shop).

I am sure there are plenty of reasons to bash this law school. This is not one of them. Well done, Ave Maria!

Inadvertently hilarious? Ave Maria was founded by (the founder? CEO? something) of Dominos, IIRC.

Wow, that's ridiculous. If it's intentional it's amazing.

Intentional of course. I credit my knowledge to Disco and redsoxfan in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=126049
