Gone Complete
So i figured I'd start a thread to see which schools are getting applicants complete quickly. I've applied to BU, UMinn, UIllinois, GWU, Fordham, Texas, Berk, and Cornell in the last week. So far only gone "complete" at Minnesota. Anyone else hear from schools you've applied to?

Re: Gone Complete
Went complete at:
Boston, Chicago, Columbia, Cornell, Duke, Fordham, GW, NYU
Status Checkers from Duke & Chicago, heard from Duke.
How long after you go "complete" should you get a status checker? or is there no set time period?

I think the more meaningful "complete" would be your file being complete at the school. You usually won't be complete for a couple of weeks after LSAC send your file out to the school. You will generally get a status checker and wait for it to go complete at the school. Then you will learn to log in and check your status compulsively for about 1000 times before it actually changes to something other than "complete".
some never change (like Columbia).

yeah i was referring to the school notification of having gone complete. some schools are notoriously slow (ahem cornell). i applied last year and never went complete. just got rejected in may. i can't wait to have a bunch of status checkers to busy up my days with. .. yes i know i'm a glutton for teasers. i also enjoy nytimes crossword puzzles... none of which i've finished.

Hannibal I would but that would just be cruel. But not even that cruel. Think of it like this. You still get to imagine what can be rather than settling with what is. Study for a 170+!

Does UT have a status checker? I have UT and Cornell in common with you. Cornell was really quick with the checker last year, but of course took 3 months to get a decision, which I never received. I just checked recently and the decision status was updated to June 23, but I still never received anything in the mail. I am starting to wonder if it is worth it to apply this time around.

UT has a status checker, though from what I've read it's kind of useless. I don't think they usually update your status until well after you've received a snail mail decision, if at all.
And I don't know when you should expect a status check id/password email from them. I alread submitted my app and haven't heard from them, but supposedly they don't actually start accepting/reviewing them until after sep. 15. Last year's mid september submissions started seeing EA responses towards the end of October.

I got mine on the 2nd, and it still says "we have received your application". I don't think they start looking at applications until october, so ours may not change for a while.

Cornell is supposedly switching over to a new system or something for applications, and emails should be going out at the beginning of next week to people who have already submitted apps.
