But yeah, this post makes no sense. You want an objective standard for lumping Harvard, Stanford, and Yale together? How about exclusivity?
in what sense

anyone who can get into Harvard or Yale can get into Stanford.

their median LSAT isn't even close to Harvard and Yale PLUS both have higher or similair GPA's

The only thing Stanford has going for it is that its got no competition in the west coast. If a school like Columbia or Chicago was on the west coast then Stanford would no longer be viewed in the same class as Harvard or Yale.

Simply put the quality of its students and professors is NOT up to par with Harvard or Yale.

Stanford rejects a good amount of people accepted to Harvard. With Harvard all you need is the numbers; Stanford's small class allows them to be pickier though.

Really? And what empirical evidence tells you these things?

Student Quality #6

Professor Quality #4

As you can see EMPIRICAL evidence shows Stanford is not even close to Harvard or Yale

Not really, the OP just sucks so we've stopped paying attention to what he has to say.
Actually, I wish S went down a tier, so it would be easier to get into :P.

Thomas Jefferson built that state school with his bare hands. Don't you love America? Are you some kind of Commie who doesn't appreciate the schools your founding fathers left for you?
You're right. I don't know what I was thinking. I should be ashamed of myself.

*kicks self*

As penance I will post in the Harvard page that UVA was started by a founding father rather than a plain ol' clergyman. Surely they will all withdraw immediately and beg Dean Trujillo to let them in.

lol at the "Other than NYC biglaw what does NYU have going for it?" argument. You do realize that NYC biglaw is biglaw, right? Something like 80 of the V100 firms are HQed there. Placing better in NYC means placing better, period.

It's a troll SBL. Was my IBTL just totally off? :(

I raise you $50 - OP (and maybe a few other recently crated accounts who troll on this issue) are all Kurama incarnates.

LOL clearly, since no one wants to work anywhere but NYC and only in "top Vault firms". The main problem is that it does the same or worse than several other top 14 schools in other markets, and the one market where it does out place those schools is the easiest market to get to, even from those other schools. It's not like Columbia where it decimates the top 14 schools below it in NYC, while beating them in other markets. NYU actually loses out to a number of schools in other markets (like UVA in DC and the South, Columbia/Berkeley/Chicago in California, NU/Michigan/Chicago in Chicago etc. and it fails to outplace schools below it in clerkships as well). Furthermore, it's not like people just say "go to NYU over the other non HYS CC top 14 schools if you want to work in NYC" they say "got to NYU over any school but HYS CC and you be looked at more favorably in any market". If it was the former you couldn't argue against it.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
