New LSAC Website

Postby Eugenie Danglars » Sun Aug 15, 2010 10:23 am

It's prettier, that's for sure. Unfortunately it reminds of the College Board website. Maybe there's a web designer that specializes in evil test makers. :-)

Can't log in yet, so we'll have to see how the apps are functioning later.

Yeah I can't log in yet either, good to see it isn't just me then. I like the data and graphs at the bottom of the homepage. It just seems a lot more functional.

The website is down until 3 or 4 today for "scheduled maintenance."

It'll be interesting to see how all the apps look (and work) on the new site. I didn't like the old one at all, so hopefully this one will be an improvement.

I would like to say it can't get much worse.... but I think it could. I certainly am not holding my breath.

At first I forgot there was a redesign...and thought I had reached the wrong website.

Take a look at the Current Data & Statistics section near the bottom. Seems like we're up for a rather competitive year.

I never realized the huge gulf between LSATs administered (160, 000) and applicants (80, 000-90, 000). I guess the bottom half of the LSAT curve just doesn't apply (+ a substantial number of retakes).
