The only problem with this idea is that there would likely only be a fraction of LSNers on AD (yes, I just created this abbreviation).

It would probably take a couple years to get AD as well known as LSN.

If the domain expires all past cycle information will be lost.. which is really a shame

Even if the domain expires, the site won't be down - I checked with a friend who has a couple of websites and the domain registry will apparently give a grace period for the owner to renew. According to my friend, the site won't go offline for a few months. I'm a huge fan of AdmissionsDean, so I hope people make the move. In any event, we'll have access to LSN past data for a while.

Yay! I'm so glad its not gone forever - but I think I may also use admissionsdean.com as well.

I wish I could find a numbers twin - so if anyone is a reverse splitter (155/3.8 ) and applying to midwest schools hit me up!

Is it psychotic that I already applied to one school yesterday and have checked my status checker twice to just to see if anything has changed?

Have you already applied to a school - hmmmm, I wonder if its the same one I applied to since there aren't many that are available yet.

Haha, no I haven't applied to any yet. However I do remember f5-ing the lsac site the day after I took it... I knew logically there was no chance in hell the score would show for at least the next 2 weeks but I couldn't stop myself. I don't think my application cycle will roll along any differently

I totally identify with this - except I downloaded the autorefresh firefox plug-in. I just sat at my desk clenching my cat half to death once I heard that other TLSers had received their scores.

I took the LSAT in February and spent the entire day Friday auto-refreshing both my email and LSAC, in case I somehow missed something.

And of course I got my score after coming back from running errands on Saturday after a bunch of snow slid off a roof and hit me in the head.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to spend most of this cycle hyperventilating! Woo.

Yeah I found out about the firefox plug-in a few days later. Definitely made my life easier... or at least enabled my obsessive tendencies.

Yaaay! It's nice having other people who understand my crazy.

My parents/sister/friends are all getting kind of sick of me holding up various, slightly-differently-formatted resumes and making them pick. They might stab me once I start twitching whenever I open my email or check my mail...

Just a little justification for those of you who feel like they are checking too often or too soon- it IS possible to get news just days after sending in your apps, although not at this time of year. I sent my application to Northeastern on December 3rd last year, they received it on December 4th, and admitted me on December 7th!

Best of luck to you guys! :)

I think we're all in the same boat re:neuroses...I keep going to the lsac website to see if new apps are up, even though I won't apply until after the October LSAT. * sigh *

I'm going to make a profile on LSN and one on admissionsdean. Admissions dean is so much nicer, but it's not as useful (yet) because there aren't as many people on it. So I'll do both and hopefully people will migrate over in a few cycles.

If it helps, I didn't end up attending Northeastern, and UConn (where I am now) was a lot less prompt with my decision.

Uh yah me too! I am now going to spend the entire month of December (and January) refreshing instead of studying for finals. *headdesk*
