I am going to apply to one ED, and two weeks later when they reject me I'll apply to the other 15 on my list.

Originally I was going to shape my applications based on where I'd be willing to live, but I figure I can sort all that out if I get accepted more than one place.

nope, depending on my OCT test, I am currently a reverse splitter ( or at least I believe so...) and I just dont know where to apply...

I am also VERY neurotic...so although its a butt-load of money, I know I would regret it otherwise.

I am going to try to get as many waivers as possible tough...

I've decided to go with T-17. Let's see what I can get with a full cycle. 8)

You guys must all be loaded. I'm freaking out just wondering how I'll pay for 8 apps (2 fee waivers so far.)

My numbers aren't very high, but I got a fee waiver from most of my targets and all of my safeties and one reach, which is very helpful!

LSAC fee waiver, so I'll be getting waivers from many schools because I am quite the opposite of loaded. With the 4 free reports too, I'm looking at roughly ~$200.

That's great! I'm hoping for at least a couple more before I apply!

Yeah, I meant the people who are applying to 15-20+ with no waiver. :D

Some people are paying $1000's for LSAT classes and also 1000's for tutors and consultants... I think parents are willing to pay for these things, it is law school after all.

I expect to get lots of waivers. Paying $500 or so is not so bad considering the options I may have. Going to visit all of them is going to break the bank. I don't know if all schools give you stipends, and I have to drag a family along.

My parents aren't paying for any of this shit, but I took out an extra private loan to fund visits and application fees and all the other expenses.

I wasn't saying everyone, but many do. I do know a few friends who are not going to be able to apply to more than a couple without waivers. Some others can depend on their parents for everything.

The t6 and + 3 or 4 others in the t17 where I'd consider a full ride.

One thing I'd recommend (take it for what it is worth!) is not deciding on schools until you have all your offers. An offer in the concrete feels different than an acceptance in the abstract. Applying widely and waiting gives you, rather than the schools, the leverage in this situation.

Applying to: 1

Already had my LoRs sent school-specific.

But will not disclose name until I take Oct. LSAT and see I have a realistic shot, for fear of ridicule.

ehh.. LSP shows me as "ADMIT" to all schools so Im not really sure how to define my reaches. I guess Yale would be considered a big reach for everyone without a phd and ridiculous awards so that could count if I decided to apply.
