Applying to 15 or so schools. Every T-14 minus NU, and then probably UCLA and USC.

As far as fee waivers, schools offer them to candidates with solid numbers (although sometimes to candidates with less than stellar numbers, which may be a means to solicit more applications and so be able to deny more applicants, which improves their selectivity percentage, and thus helps their USN&WR rankings). They search through CRS, so you have to have that purchased, and you generally need a valid LSAT score. They will email you one, and then you don't have to do anything -- when you apply and go to check out, the ~$80 application fee will be waived,a although you will still be required to pay a $12 "Reporting Fee" to LSAC.

If you want a fee waiver and didn't receive one unsolicited, you can email the school you are interested in admissions office, and politely ask one. There's a guide out there I think on TLS that explains how to do this if you need more information. Wait until they send out a round of fee waivers first though before you request one from them, and I wouldn't recommend requesting them before mid-September, at the earliest.

Also, try and use the search function or look around first. This is the top post of the law school admissions forum: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... ead#unread.

The 2011 FSU app isn't showing available for me, just the app for 2010. Can others see the new app? I can see the new app for UF, but I didn't apply to UF last year.

Hmm, i'll check and see if it's available for me.

Edit: Yup, not available for me, so i'm guessing it's just not available yet.

Thanks a lot guys. I was wondering because I should be able to get need-based fee waivers and the app process started and didn't know what was going on. Good to know. *Goes to fill in info on LSAC*

I have 20 schools I'm considering and will likely end up applying to 15-20 of them.

Widener is available, and it's a free application if you apply before December 31!

My list right now is 15 schools. I'm sure that will get cut down as I apply and decide that I'm not enthusiastic enough about certain schools to bother filling out their app and paying the fee.

I'm sitting at 14 right now, but I'm open to adding more if I get some good fee waivers.

I'm probably applying to 20-30 due to being a super-splitter and my desire to leverage possible schollies.

Right now my list has 11, but it may go down depending on fee waivers...
