Disorderly Conduct Dismissed

Hey, in my sophomore year of college, I got a disorderly conduct ticket from an officer during a protest. However, I sent the officer a letter apologizing for my conduct and explaining I was just ardent about a certain law, and he wound up not showing up to court so it was dismissed. Do I have to disclose this? As they took my ticket in court, I don't even know what the date was and the case was dismissed (not just not-guilty).

Read the fine print of your applications. Every school has slightly different disclosure requirements. If the situation is ambiguous or you're in any doubt then err on the side of full disclosure.

You can just guess on the date. One school asked for all traffic offenses, even minor ones, so I had to disclose a speeding ticket. I have no record of it (and the court kept it off my state record), so I just put "2004" as the date.
And yes, if there is ANY doubt, disclose. It was a minor issue, and it won't hurt you, but it can hurt you big time if you don't disclose.

Wait, you seriously have to disclose speeding tickets?

For most schools no. Most school specifically exclude minor traffic infractions from disclosure requirements. However, a handful of schools (I only came across one out of about 12 apps that did, and I think it was Washington & Lee) specifically ask you to disclose minor traffic infractions.
The bottom line is that you should read applications' disclosure requirements very carefully.
