Affording Law School

Post by Deuce » Sun Jul 04, 2010 7:43 pm

Sorry if this post has been done before, but I couldn't find it. With the #'s I have, I believe I am looking at some acceptances at sticker to lower T14 schools and scholarships beyond that. There lies the big question: is it worth it to pay sticker for a lower T14 as compared to having huge support from say T30? I have been fully financially independent since I was 18 (but of course not according to FAFSA and universities who insist that I am dependent, really don't like those rules...) and simply do not know how it would be possible for me to afford sticker. Thoughts/suggestions/stories? Thanks!

Depends on you and your career goals.

If you want a specific region and the school you get the scholarship to is a major player in that region then I think it should definitely be a contender against a school in the lower T14 at sticker. For example, you want to work in ATL and you get nice schollies at Emory or UGA vs sticker at Mich.

However, this is simply my opinion.
