Got one from NYU by mail Saturday and one from Columbia by email this morning. I took the LSAT in October so I'm surprised by the late-breaking fee waivers.

What's the consensus on requesting a reimbursement after applying? I'm pretty confident I could have gotten a few more fee waivers had I requested them directly, but I was concerned about the wait and sent some apps out anyway.

What are my odds or reimbursement? And is it tacky to ask?

what about e-mailing schools to request a fee waiver before applying? are there any negative implications?

Tons of people did. I did last year and still rode the waitlist into July before withdrawing my application. It means nothing significant.
