Got an email from Florida Coastal informing me that they have a $33 application fee and that it is not waived. Waste of an email for them.

Re: Application Fee Waivers - Fall 2011 Applicants
I did get something from them this month (I posted when I got it earlier in the thread but I have no idea where...) But I am not planning on applying so I deleted the email. Thus, I can't tell you what email address I got it from.Smo06d wrote:Has anyone heard anything from mercer? I tried to find an email address to send a request but struck out. Do you have to call them or am I just an idiot. Thanks in advance.

St. Thomas fee waiver, and who gives a damn about Florida A&M? If you aren't waiving the fee don't bother emailing. We already know we can apply.

UVA would. Doubtful about any others.iwanta170 wrote:I got an unsolicited one from Northwestern too. 3.84 GPA but only 165 LSAT. What the deuce!?
Would anyone in the T14 give me a fee waiver if I emailed them or would I be wasting my time?

Haha, I almost sent them back a really, really nasty email, but I thought better of it. Some people have their religion, I don't have mine, we can all get along...TT09 wrote:Ave Maria fee waiver. Weak.

I got one from UVA and G'Town by request. Penn, NYU, Columbia all said they only do it CRS.iwanta170 wrote:I got an unsolicited one from Northwestern too. 3.84 GPA but only 165 LSAT. What the deuce!?

Just got this email.
Also got one from FAMU asking me to apply. I think I was actually insulted that they didnt bother to waive the fee. I mean, I wasnt going to apply anyways (I HATE FAMU), but the audacity of it all....

Same here. I actually prefer this to the schools that say "we don't give out merit-based waivers" when I know other people have gotten them. At least Georgetown is honest about it. Washington University in St. Louis actually sent me a fee waiver email yesterday and then hours later sent me an email claiming they don't give out waivers. Anyone know what the GPA/LSAT cutoff is for Penn, Columbia, and Cornell CRS? I mean from like last year and stuff. I know they're probably going to come out soon, just want to gauge my chances.

Re: Application Fee Waivers - Fall 2011 Applicants
I'm 3.79 and 164 LSAT - i'm planning on retaking in December - I was PTing at around 168-170 but I was stunned when I got one from Northwestern. I was stunned yesterday when I got one from BU also since I'm not at the median for my LSAT score.iwanta170 wrote:I got an unsolicited one from Northwestern too. 3.84 GPA but only 165 LSAT. I dont get it, but I'll take it
Do you think they give out a ton of fee waivers so that they end up with a larger applicant pool and then are able to say their school has a very small acceptance rate??

FWIW, I sent NYU a fee waiver request yesterday morning. They granted me a hidden request, and I submitted my app yesterday. Then today they emailed me back saying they don't grant fee waivers.

I'm registered for the Atlanta LSAC forum this weekend so my inbox is lighting up with "come visit our table" invitations. Such a buzz kill when there's no fee waiver included.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
