On the heels of their rude/lackluster/glitchy fee waiver, I got another awkward, typo-laden e-mail from Columbia:

"Applying to law schools is any exciting and contemplative experience, but distinguishing among law schools can sometimes be overwhelming, if not confusing. We invite you to speak with a representative from Columbia Law School about the Columbia experience during the Law Day on Tuesday, September 28th, in Barton Hall, from 110am-2:30pm.
We hope to see you there.

Warm wishes,

Columbia Law School Office of Admissions"

The thing is, I don't go to Cornell. I'm in the same state as Cornell, but it's a big state.

What's going on with them? Is this reverse psychology? Are they trying to convince me not to apply?

Oh, the e-mail was called "Columbia Law School at Cornell University." I'm assuming Barton Hall is at Cornell.

But by now, they've send me an e-mail to apologize, as well.

I just got Northwestern today as well.
161/3.88.

Wasn't going to apply - but maybe now I'll shoot an app over.

Your numbers are pretty similar to mine (162/3.99), and I feel the same way. Hey, for $12 why not? Are you going to try to do an interview though? I kinda just want to submit and see what happens, but it seems like interviews are pretty impt :-/

Elaborate plz. tyia

Its in downtown chicago, about a block or two from Michigan ave. Easy access to the navy pier, a plethora of restaurants and shopping, near lake Michigan, Museum of contemporary art nearby. A couple of nice downtown grocery stores. Really nice, but expensive, housing options. Just really, really nice. The only school that might rival its location is maybe NYU(although I think Chicago as a city is much better than NYC) or UCLA depending on what you are looking for.

Eh, I think Pepperdine is much more impressive as a visitor than as a student. I stopped by over the summer and, while the view was obviously incredible, it felt kinda isolated and disjointed- and climbing up those hills wasn't my idea of a good time. Also, it's a dry campus. Needless to say, I'm not sure if it's the ideal place to live for three years.

UCLA, on the other hand, was just about perfect.

NYU and Penn via snail mail as well; NU via email. Good day today.

Michigan via snail mail on Friday.

I was one of the ones who had to do the forum trick/update to 2011, so it looks like most schools have found me. Chicago/Columbia still absent out of the t12 schools who do merit fee waivers. I'm suspicious that Chicago might have an international filter. Any internationals get a Chicago waiver?

Quite sure the answer is somewhere in this thread, but it's 63 pages.

So for those of us taking the LSAT in October, what happens with Fee Waivers. Does a flood come in the day scores are reported, or do you pretty much have to request from each school to which you will apply?

There will be new CRS searches after the October test.

So i got one from NorthWestern today as well (4.0 160).

I have also gotten them from Duke, Michigan, Columbia, UT, and UCLA.

Why am i getting all of these? My numbers would never get me into Columbia no matter what my softs are.... Right?

= Accidentally checked URM box on LSAC (there's no way Columbia would toss a fee waiver otherwise)

It seems like nobody wants to give me pretty snail mail except Cooley and Cornell
I mean, I really do appreciate the hidden fee waivers, but something I could actually flip through would be nice...
