And I actually went to Georgetown undergrad! Too bad as I really wanted to and probably will still apply there.

For what it's worth:
3.66 LSAC, 169(Dec '05)/176(June '10)
6/29: Cincinatti, Seton Hall
7/1: Pacific McGeorge, Charlotte
7/7: Mercer, U-Minnesota
7/9: Georgetown
7/14: William & Mary
I haven't kept track of waivers received via snail mail, because none of them were remotely interesting to me. Schools I'd never go to in states I don't have any interest in living in. Why they waste their postage, I have no idea...

Has anyone who took in Dec 09 received anything this summer?
I got a ton in Dec/Jan, but it's been almost completely quiet since spring.

Nope.. same problem here, nothing besides random info crap from Seattle U. May have to contact individual schools and let them know we have interest. Seems like top law schools would be able to sort be expected enrollment date. My CRS profile on LSAC clearly lists 2011.Maury Levy wrote:Has anyone who took in Dec 09 received anything this summer?

Yeah, I'm planning to send solicitations directly to those on my list to apply to.tkgrrett wrote:Nope.. same problem here, nothing besides random info crap from Seattle U. Of course, Cooley and Regent keep sending me snail mail love. It's been making for great gum wrappers around the house.

Do you need to inform schools that you got an LSAC fee waiver when asking for one, or do they automatically see you received one?

Fee Waivers (170 LSAT)
UVA, UCLA, U of Richmond, Illinois, Iowa, Cincinatti
When I received the waivers, I didn't have my transcript in.

I'm also curious, since last cycle UVA didn't send them out until late August, and UCLA didn't send them until September. Were these unsolicited fee waivers or did you email those schools and aks for a fee waiver? I'd really like to know because I want to apply to both of those schools and would like to save a couple hundred bucks.

Just want to mention that I requested info and a waiver to Emory. Let's just say their response does not make me want to apply there. Also curious that they responded a few minutes before 5am EST. Until this point, every other school had at least responded in kind with information as to what I had specifically asked about, despite being unable to grant me a fee waiver.

Haha once I emailed a school a question about visits being documented in our app record. I received a single word answer "No.".. it was quite intriguingJakeL wrote:Just want to mention that I requested info and a waiver to Emory. Re: Application Fee Waivers - Fall 2011 Applicants
Emailed 16 schools today. Got a UVA fee waiver. Most said they either didn't give merit based waivers, would give them out via LSAC (couldn't request them), or said they weren't starting distributing them till september. For example WUSTL, told me I qualified but I had to email back after they begin accepting apps.

Good to know, thanks for the post. I'm going to wait until September at the earliest to email requests for merit based waivers.dabbadon8 wrote:Emailed 16 schools today. Got a UVA fee waiver. I didn't read all 15 pages of this thread, so sorry if this is a repost.
Something I wish I knew when I started my applications last year: schools will frequently waive your admission fees without telling you. Details on the so-called "hidden fee waivers" can be found here:
