Apply early. It looks like you have a 50/50 chance. I think the only significant "softs" would be military experience and possibly peace corp.

3.62 172 EDing at Chicago. Would it be enough of a boost to get me in?

Nope, and I wouldn't ED unless you're committed to attending at sticker regardless of what other schools offer you.
