money in the bank vs. lsac fee waiver

Post by Canarsie » Fri Jun 25, 2010 2:59 pm

do people ever empty their checking account before applying? would that affect the process? I've heard some people in real financial need have had ~1000-2000 dollars in the bank and have been prevented from the waiver for that reason.

You're asked to disclose your assets, not just your bank account balance. It's possible, though unethical, to hide assets by withdrawing them.
