Admissions response time?

Postby hennenr » Sun Jun 13, 2010 2:06 pm

I am taking the October LSAT and plan to send out applications as soon as I receive my score. How long does it usually take to hear back from admissions? I understand that certain schools take longer than others but can anyone give me a ball park figure?

It depends on how easily you are accepted/rejected/waitlisted which is dependent on your scores and the number of applications the school receives versus the number of staffers they have. You will know within a few weeks from most safety schools if you've been accepted, but then the real party begins. Some schools won't send you a WL notice until you've already placed deposits.

Ballpark estimate: 2-20 weeks.
