how important is major / minor!?

I'm a poli sci major i know a lot of pre-law people are too so i minored in geological sciences but, honestly does major/minor really matter at all?

2. Go to Law School.

Not at all, with the possible exception of hard science.

Nope. LSAT/GPA matter. Take the classes that you want and do your best.

Not unless you want Patent/IP Law. Otherwise, focus on your GPA and LSAT.

Agreed...if IP is a goal, engineering or other hard science is a must. Right now, electrical engineers are most sought after for IP jobs. Don't get lured into doing so-called "soft IP"--copyrights and trademarks--as most firms will go for someone who can do patents as well, for which you need the hard sciences.

Only bother with this if you honestly want to bust your ass for all four years without a break. I have never heard of someone getting into a top school because they double majored. In fact, you risk jeopardizing your GPA, because the requirements to obtain the double major are often very rigorous and students find themselves having trouble keeping up.

If you don't have enough work to do in undergrad, start working on your LSAT, which is really the biggest single component of your application to law school.
