letter of recommendation...

Post by inthefuture » Tue Jun 01, 2010 8:20 pm

Does the subject the professor, who I ask to write my letter of recommendation, teach matter? For instance, I am an economics major. Does it matter that my letters will be from science and russian professors? Or does is it better if they are by economics professors??
Thanks

I dont think that matters at all. For the most part Letters of Rec arent weighed that heavily. Schools mainly use them to gauge others' opinions of you and to make sure that youre not some weirdo.

A letter from any professor is good enough. Just make sure its someone you know well and that youre certain will say colorful things about you.

Good Luck!
