T14 Long Shot?

Post by usna02 » Sat May 29, 2010 11:14 am

Is it possible to get into a good law school with a 3.1 GPA? I still need to take my October LSAT. I would like to go somewhere like Cornell. Has my GPA officially killed me? I am a non-trad student and over 30. If you still think there is hope for me, what would I need to score in range of my LSAT. Thanks.

Nah, its possible. Work experience counts for a lot at certain places, and a 3.1 is not the end of the world. Aim for a 170+ and you should be good to go at Northwestern. Depending on your score (and your goals/desires), you might also try UVa, Mich, Cornell, and GULC.

Thats good to hear...I thought that my 3.1 would certainly kill me...But I guess that there are people out there that have way worse GPA's than that.

There are, but they're usually URM.
