Arrive in Cambridge & find an apartment in the same day?

Is it possible? I'm living across the country and don't want to lease an apartment sight-unseen. Do you think I can arrive in Cambridge at the beginning of July and find a choose an apartment within 1 or 2 days?

I would, of course, try to line up a schedule of viewings ahead of time. It seems like the large volume of apartments in Cambridge might allow me to pull this off. Has anyone tried it?
