Does taking too many units hurt you?

I'm transferring this fall and I have to take 78 units at the university I'll be attending because not all of my courses transfer over. I already have 67 done at my current university. Do schools view too many units unfavorably?

I don't see why it would be treated unfavorably. But anything's possible.
It's just that from what I've read on the Dean interviews tells me that they look at courseloads to justify lower GPA sometimes. This kinda means that it can also be seen as a plus:D

Nope.. lots of people double major or add minors/ or explore several routes in college. No real reason why this would hurt you come application time.

It won’t hurt you. I took an extra two years worth of units. When writing my ps, I said the amount of units I've taken is indicative my intellectual curiosity. In other words, it could actually help you, assuming you did well in those extra classes.
