Vaccination Question

I'm pretty sure that my school will ask for vaccination records before I enroll, but I'm not too sure as to where to obtain those. Last time I dealt with this was almost 10 years ago for my undergrad. Pretty sure I didn't get anything else since.

Would obtaining these records from my undergrad be sufficient? Will they be willing to release them? Any other insight?

I think so. Some of the schools I've talked to say that the undergrad should have relevant health records info, and once you inform the UG about making this info available to law school, then they pretty much know where to go from there. Apparently, this request is very common for not just law schools but also med and biz schools.

btw - Nice 'tar, is that supposed to be an elephant?

You may also wish to contact your primary care physician and/or the county health department(s) if your UG doesn't have documentation.

If you haven't had to deal with shot records since 10 years ago, it probably wouldn't hurt to just get new shots... most of the big ones are meant to have a booster at least once a decade. It occurred to me the other day that the last time I got MMR and DPT was to get into 7th grade, so I'm 3 or 4 years overdue for boosters.

You might want to wait until you get the actual form from your LS health center to schedule an appointment with a GP/internist. My UG entry health questionnaire wanted me to prove random shit like that I'd either had chicken pox or the varicella shot, so I had to get bloodwork to prove I'd had chicken pox FOR REALZ back in the day before it was commonly vaccinated against.

I had my mom dig up my records. She may have gone to the pediatric clinic to get them. But I found out that I've only had one MMR shot (only one was recommend/required back then, I was born in 1979), and the state of TN requires two (going to Memphis), so I need to get the second shot.

I would first ask your parents for the records. Then ask the clinic/doctor where you got them, or try the state/county health department, or your UG heath department. Depends on how your state keeps the records. When I got my shots there was no central database; the records were only held by the clinic. Now all vaccinations in Arkansas go into a state database no matter what clinic administered them.
