Will 2010-2011 admissions cycle be tougher?

if 4% more people take the LSAT this year than last, the cycle will be 4% harder than last year from an LSAT point of view to get in.

Seriously though, it is interesting to see how rapidly schools are getting harder to get into

Emory 04-05: a 163 with solid GPA got you in

That is one school. Look at the graph for other schools and it isn't so drastic.

One of the biggest reasons for the inflation is actually retakes. Four years ago they averaged retakes. How many people on TLS do you know took one LSAT did poorly and retook? In 2005, most of them wouldn't have retook, and those who did, would only have half the gain.
