LCI....Should I write one if I have not heard back?

I have not heard back from a number of schools yet. Is it a good idea to send an LCI to remind them that I am still interested or is that waisted time?

You haven't heard back as in you don't have a decision at all? Or you're waitlisted/put on reserve and haven't heard anything lately? If the latter, DEFINITELY write a LOCI. If the former, don't bug them; if they still haven't gotten to your file, they must be absolutely swamped, and you'll just slow the process down by submitting yet more material.
