I think a lot of guys do have trouble hooking up with their classmates. The legal field is small, and reputations matter. For many women sleeping with classmates in law school is out of the question. Hence, many guys are frustrated and can act immature. Many of them end up looking for women outside of the legal community.

Why is it so immature for guys to wonder about girls at their future law schools? It seems like something that would matter to most guys, whether they already get girls or not. I know a number of of guys headed to different law schools next year, and all of us are interested in what the girls will be like. Anyone, like the OP, that criticizes this sentiment is just a loser. All guys do this. 50 year old married guys do it about as much as 25 year old males in a group of men only (the internet isn't much different; in both situations there are few consequences in how girls IRL perceive you). This is not a matter of growing up; this is sort of just what guys do.
