How many schools were you accepted into?
Completely curious. I read somwhere that only 65% ish of all applicants will be accepted, but just read a post about people declaring a withdraw- day. While I completely agree with the idea of a withdraw day, how many schools does the average applicant get into? How many people actually get no acceptances?
I thought I would open it to you guys and gals.

Re: How many schools were you accepted into?
Accepted: 11 ($$ at 9)
Rejected: 4 (3 of which were expected, see lsn)
WL: 3
Pending: 1
Overall very happy with my cycle.

Re: How many schools were you accepted into?
TLS is a different selection of applicants. We aren't the typical law school applicants. Quite a few (probably most) of the regulars on this site are 170+ scorers. We can get into any tier 3 or 4 schools pretty much without even writing a personal statement.OmbreGracieuse wrote:Completely curious. So, this question is pretty mute here. Plus, add a poll if you want answers in an easy to read format.

Fixed. Sorry. That's an important one for law school.

Re: How many schools were you accepted into?
This really means nothing out of context, but to humor you:
Applied to 23 schools (all in October), and the results are:
A: at 9 (8 with money -- damn you LLS)
R: at 5
WL: 7
Pending: 2
Such is the cycle of a reverse splitter.
You may also want to check out LSN, as it may be better for purposes of gauging your particular situation.

I meant mute.. I didn't say "mute point" I said mute as in undiscovered or unrecognized. The people who will be able to add to a conversation about not getting into any law school are not often posting on this board so the post will be undiscovered by the intended target, hence mute.umichgrad wrote:Unitas wrote:TLS is a different selection of applicants. Re: How many schools were you accepted into?
I am so glad you all were able to respond. I've been psyching myself out I think. I take the LSATs in June and I think my current biggest fear (being a splitter) is that I will do poorly and either not get into a law school, or not get into a good enough school to go into the field I want to.
I feel comforted by all of this.

Spend some time on lawschoolnumbers.com, there's thousands of people on there and it's easier to search the data than to have everyone post in a thread.

Re: How many schools were you accepted into?
OK, first off I didn't say "mute point" - I said it was mute.. Second off, I didn't mean "moot point" at all. It would be an interesting debate and would have a positive outcome for op with it being very relevant - the opposite of "moot point". However, on this site it is mute. It is unlikely the people op is after post on this site, as can be seen in who has posted in this thread.wiggsb wrote:LOL @ "mute point"

Please stop defending something to a bunch of TLSers... you're only serving to derail the thread. Not that I care, just trying to save you from a pointless endeavor.

Re: How many schools were you accepted into?
Accepted -- 13
Held -- 1
WL -- 5
Deny -- 1 (HLS)
I almost had two separate app cycles, the first with a lower LSAT. Or else I probably would've only applied to 10 or 12 schools, instead of 20.

A: 2 (1 was super safety that I withdrew from)
WL:8
R:1
I am a 170+ scorer and I still have only one option. Dissapointing but not quite fail because at least I got one.

+1.
And sorry, but 'mute' just isn't right in that context.
