If law school + cost of living was free to you...

What's the lowest rank school you would attend? T2? T1? T30? T14?

Assume that this isn't going to come from scholarships/etc, but you have a crazy rich aunt/uncle/friend/whatever. Where would the cut off be for you?

The ranking wouldn't matter....as long as the school is strong enough to get me a decent job in the region where I wanted to live.

T2 + syracuse (It's really not a T3 education. The 'Cuse is a great school.).

I think that is more the question at hand. Where might that cut off be?

I'd guess T1 and maybe a few T2's.

I would go as low as T4, as long as the school was actually attempting to run a decent program and wasnt a degree-mill. I think theres alot of decent schools in smaller markets in the T3 and T4, its the expensive TTTs with 30+ percent attrition that deserve the mockery so often offered to T3 and T4 schools.

My only exception to the above rule would be Suffolk. Although in a large market and expensive, it has a reputation far beyond its ranking in the New England market.

T2, however with a few exceptions. If I was looking for a specific region (theoretically) I would go as low as the best law school in that specific state for smaller markets, (i.e. U Maine) otherwise I would go for a reputable T2 in a lesser saturated market. Highly subjective question, it would be ultimately based upon my future aspirations, and which school would give me the best opportunity in that specific state.

If it came down to T4 for free or no law school at all...
location and aba accreditation would be all I really need. :)

Uncle Sam is paying for my schooling and giving me a stipend. I considered going to University of Hawaii because I live in Honolulu. It has a good enough reputation locally and I could use my local connections to network into a post graduation job.

Well, I would have to sit and talk with my friend about financing. I am blanketing the T14, and am REALLY hoping to get in there somewhere (like a good majority of TLS, I think). If I got in there, I wouldn't allow them to cover it all. Then again, if I were let into a school a lot less expensive, I probably would think about letting them cover the whole thing (especially if they had it to spare).

I applied almost exclusively to state schools for financial reasons. If money weren't an issue, I'd probably consider some more private schools in my range, specifically Wake Forest, Notre Dame, GW and maybe Lewis and Clark. It wouldn't change my overall criteria of what I want in a school, though.

This is the exact reason I'm going to Suffolk (free + reputation)
