How to calculate GPA

Post by nonpareilpearl » Wed Apr 07, 2010 12:08 pm

This may have been asked before, but I'm not entirely sure how to calculate/estimate my LSDAS GPA. I attended a community college and obtained an Associate's degree before transferring to a four-year school and obtaining my bachelor's. Since I was a transfer, my CC GPA was not counted toward my UG GPA at the 4Y school. When I calculate my LSDAS GPA, do I include my grades from both the CC and the 4Y school?

EDIT: typo

All courses that you have taken before earning your first Bachelors degree will calculate into your LSAC gpa. So yes, I assume that includes the GPA from the community college.

And just to clarify, LSAC weights grades by credit hour. So to figure out your GPA you'll need to sum each grade times the number of credits for the class and divide by your total number of credits.
