Took them 2.5 months, which is surprising considering there was over 5 years of pent up demand for an Apple cell phone, and they had a product that appeared 1,000,000 times better than any cell phone on the market. The price was too high. They learned their lesson, and waited until they could build and sell a giant iPod touch for 500 bucks and still make 70% margins.
