best manner to ask for LOR if you live abroad?

best manner to ask for LOR if you live abroad?

so im currently not in the states and i want to ask for the LORS soon.

i could ask by e-mail.

but would u guys say its very important to meet them in person?

and if i ask with e-mail what kinda manner would u guys ask in?


ive been contemplating this! if its totally necessary to ask in the states in person i will do it
but preferrably id like to do it from here!

E-mail is fine.. Just send a nice e-mail asking them if they would be willing to write you an extremely supportive letter of recommendation. Talk about the schools you are applying to and such and put at the end if they are willing, you will send them your numbers, resume, personal statement, and so forth to help with writing the letter. I would also mention you are out of country.

If they respond positive send all the information.

personal statement?

i dont have one yet because im planning on writing it after i take the LSAT

dang..anything else that can take the place of a PS?

Just why you want to go to Law School... Just to show them you thought about it for a while, and what you have done towards getting there.. So they can relate to it in the LOR.

Oh, also if they don't remember you well right away you may want to attach copies of work from their classes... "Some have said this, but my recommenders knew me well enough not to do this."
