to UNC. Would that be a wasted app, time and $70? My LSAT is above last year's median and my GPA is at 25th percentile. Is this a bad idea?

Worst they can do is say no. In the grand scheme of things it's only $70.lawwhat wrote:to UNC. Would that be a wasted app, time and $70? My LSAT is above last year's median and my GPA is at 25th percentile. Is this a bad idea?
May I ask why? Is it because the class is basically full and my GPA is at the 25th percentile?Z3RO wrote:You'd have about 0 chance. Apply next year.
Exactly. I think that they're just getting to the people who applied in February (and wait listing them) at the moment, and low GPAs seem to be a rough card this cycle.lawwhat wrote:May I ask why? Unfortunately I can't wait. I got into Wake and I love the idea of attending, but UNC is a bit cheaper. I would be OOS so it would only be $5 K per year difference in terms of tuition, but then again, Winston Salem appears to have a lower cost of living. If Sperling's Best Places calculator is accurate, the cost of living disparity appears to be substantial, so the true total cost of attending difference may be negligible. I've checked out the prices for 1 bedroom apartments in each area on Craigslist, and it appears that Winston Salem is certainly a cheaper place to live.Z3RO wrote:Exactly.
