How long should I expect to wait for admission decisions?

Postby Trojanwarhero » Wed Mar 17, 2010 7:47 pm

I applied in mid January and went complete at the end of January. So far I've gotten into USF and rejected from Fordham. I'm still waiting to hear from Davis, Hastings, USD, Santa Clara, and L&C. I don't think I'm auto admit or auto reject for any of these schools (160, 3.42, w/ good softs). What's the normal timetable for non-auto admit/auto reject admissions? Also in regard to online application status (in committee, app complete, etc.).

I hate to sound smug, but there really is no "normal" timetable. It really is all over the place. I heard from one school after just 4 days and there are some schools that I am still waiting to hear from (I applied in October).

I applied in November and got into SCU quickly, I think by December. Hastings' letter got here Monday. So the wait is highly variable. I had heard not a peep from Hastings (no acknowledgment email or notice my app was complete) until I wrote to them in February to ask what was up.
