Schools publish enough information about grades that ranking is actually more or less irrelevant; any prospective school will know how well you did just by looking at your GPA and information about the median GPA. Plus, schools have been doing transfer admissions for years, so they've seen a lot of applicants already. Obviously is you can say "I was #2 out of 300" or something it saves some brain cycles, but it's not like a lack of ranking will make it impossible for your new school to realize they've never seen a 3.9 out of the T30 before. The distribution of law school grades makes high GPAs exceptionally rare, so anything in the top 5-10% is going to stand out pretty distinctly.

I've never heard of a requirement to pay back scholarships as a result of a transfer.
