Is it too late to apply to Vandy
I am thinking about applying to Vandy, their deadline is not till the 15th of March. I am an URM with excellent softs and ok nos. I have a Masters degree and a significant amount of work experience. Any advice?

Is there any reason not to apply?

I wouldnt want to waste money if they never really consider late applications. It gets much more difficult at some schools totome wrote:Is there any reason not to apply?
get admitted when you apply this late in the game.

You should still apply, but know that you may be at a disadvantage since you didn't have the opportunity to interview, which seems to be a decent sized factor in their decision making process this year. Of course, a number of folks have been admitted without interviewing, so it's by no means necessary for acceptance. Good luck!

Well, I think you should apply. You never know if you don't try and URM cycles are always unpredictable so you might have a decent shot. Good luck!

Definitely go for it. Yes they have less spots to fill now than at the beginning of the cycle, but, they still admit kids all the way through the cycle.

FWIW, I had median numbers and was accepted with $ without an interview or "Why Vandy." I think the main issue here is that they will have given out most of their acceptances at this point, which decreases your chances of getting in. Plus, you may not hear back for a while, maybe even in late April or early May. You'd also have to eat a seat deposit somewhere else if you got in then decided to go to Vandy.JOThompson wrote:You should still apply, but know that you may be at a disadvantage since you didn't have the opportunity to interview, which seems to be a decent sized factor in their decision making process this year. Ultimately, if you're okay with paying another app fee, maybe forfeiting a seat deposit, and the inconvenience of hearing late, then why not? You only get to do law school admissions once.

I think that the interview is more strongly emphasized for borderline students or folks with one number below median like me. If the OP has strong numbers, I'd encourage him to go for it. It's an extra $70 like you said, but definitely worth a shot. Also, congrats on the acceptance!
