Is app date from LSAC or school?

Post by leftofthedial » Thu Mar 04, 2010 1:05 pm

Hello all -

I did a search for this and couldn't find anything. I submitted some applications to LSAC on a Friday after business hours. Some of my schools (the paper form ones especially) didn't get the application until late the following week. Which date counts as my application date? Thanks for your help.

Usually schools have a "complete" date, which is when they've received and checked all components of your application to make sure it's all there. That's the date that counts.

I'm sorry - I should have been more specific. It seems like I've read about folks who submitted to LSAC earlier than others but still went complete after the others. Does that make sense? For example, say I submit early January and go complete Feb 1. Someone else submits mid-January, goes complete Feb 1. Are they counted as arriving at the same time in the cycle?

If not, does the LSAC submission date or the school receipt date count as when I tossed my hat in the ring?
