Huge ps submission mistake...help plz

Postby Norwood » Mon Jan 25, 2010 12:36 pm

Hi, I submitted my apps in Late dec and jus decided to review them... I noticed that for one of the schools I submitted my long 4 page PS instead of my 3pg PS (which was required)! Should I ask to resubmit my PS or leave it? My 4 pg essay is by far stronger than my 3 pger.

What are the consequences and the best choice to make? Thank you

I did this for Cornell and called in a panic. The lady kind of laughed at me and said "It's fine, they just don't want a ten page essay." I highly doubt it makes a big difference but you can always call and send in the new one and they will update your file. Don't worry about it, it is fine and I doubt they even notice.

That's not a huge mistake. I wouldn't even worry about it. I doubt that one extra page is going to be determinative if your application is strong.
